A modest Midlands retreat, this home celebrates a minimalist architectural language focused on the essentials of living. Working with a structure that touches the ground lightly, the design preserves the natural landscape and nestles the inhabitant in the contours of the land. Externally, material palettes have been carefully considered to blur into the landscape softly. Internally, the composition balances light-filled volumes with intimate, darker sanctuaries to create a pared-back environment for relaxation.
